Meet Our Staff
DR. NICHOLAS J. HAMILL, M.D.
Dr. Hamill has been a practicing Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat physician) in Tacoma since 1998. He is subspecialized in otologic (ear) surgery but treats all aspects of ear, nose and throat disorders in his practice. He graduated from Loyola Medical School in Illinois followed by a general surgical internship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He completed his Otolaryngology residency at Penn State’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center followed by a fellowship in otologic and neurotologic surgery at the Michigan Ear Institute in Detroit. He practiced in Delaware for one year while his wife completed her Air Force obligation before moving to Tacoma. Dr. Hamill is board certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Hamill enjoys the medical and surgical aspects of his chosen profession and the relationships it fosters with his patients. When not practicing Otolaryngology, he remains active keeping up with his three children. His interests include fly fishing, fly tying, photography and piano.
DAWN R. SEMANCIK, MA, CCC-A
Dawn received her master’s degree in Audiology from Western Washington University in 1990. She is an active member of the American Academy of Audiology and American Speech-Language Hearing Association. With her knowledge of the latest hearing aid technology, years of clinical experience and dedication to continuing education, Dawn is uniquely qualified to identify and treat hearing loss. Her work experience has been varied to include medical centers, military facilities and ENT facilities. She strives for a professional and personal approach to each individual she encounters. Her goal is to educate and provide superior hearing health and rehabilitative care to all patients and ensure quality of service.
Dawn is a world traveler, gourmet cook, and 4-H Club horse leader. In her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, antiques and riding horse.
